Antenatal care is the ongoing support and monitoring you receive throughout your pregnancy to help ensure both you and your baby stay healthy and well. It’s not just about physical check-ups—it’s about feeling informed, supported, and confident as you prepare for birth.
With me, antenatal care includes regular appointments tailored to your stage of pregnancy. Depending on your chosen package, visits are typically scheduled around weeks 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30, 32, 34, and 36, followed by weekly appointments at weeks 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42, or until your baby arrives.
Appointments take place in the comfort of your own home and last 1–2 hours. If you wish, I can also accompany and support you at your hospital appointments.
At each visit, I offer a holistic assessment, which includes:
We’ll also explore your options, choices, and birth preferences. Your appointments include parent education, and if you wish, support with colostrum harvesting. Throughout your pregnancy, I’ll share helpful information and advice to support a healthy journey for you and your baby.
If you’re planning a home birth, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet my colleague—either a midwife or a doula—who will join us as a second support person during your birth.
Appointments are arranged at times that suit you and your family, and your loved ones are welcome to be involved in your care if you wish.
I’m always available via telephone, text, or email throughout your pregnancy for any questions or concerns you may have. My goal is to ensure you feel safe, supported, and truly at the centre of your care—because it’s your body, your baby, and your birth.
Private scans and blood tests can be added to your care if you'd like, for an additional cost. Scans are arranged at a nearby private clinic, and I can carry out blood tests during your antenatal appointments.
