About Me

I started my midwifery training back in 1999 in my home country Germany  and qualified as a midwife in 2002.  I worked there for 12 years in a hospital setting while also undertaking  freelance midwifery. I provided antenatal care, birth support in hospital and at home, postnatal care and also antenatal and postnatal classes including breastfeeding sessions . I moved to Ireland with my two children in 2014 where I worked  in a private midwifery setting primarily providing home birth services. I came to the UK in 2020 where I continued to provide private midwifery services until becoming independent in 2023. 

I am happy to support women and their families in their wishes and to explore together with them all the options they have in pregnancy, during childbirth and the time after to achieve their individual plan of care and a positive and safe birth experience.
